Stadium On Main (SOM) is currently undergoing a R70 million redevelopment and refurbishment which will provide a highly efficient open plan 3,500m2 “A” Grade specification, single floor plate office within the Claremont precinct. The refurbishment also includes a complete upgrade of the ground floor retail level which will include an exciting new Food Court seating area as well as a new look façade facing onto Main Road.
SOM is situated in a prime location within the Claremont CBD immediately adjacent to the Public Transport Hub. The new office floor plate with its extra high 3.2m ceiling heights with large perimeter windows is sub-divisible and parking is available at up to 4 bays/100m2 . The Retail upgrade and refurbishment includes a new entrance with line shops opening onto Central Street and the Public Transport Hub. Beautiful skylights will flood the ground floor with natural light and the atriums will be landscaped with full height trees to bring life and greenery into the space. New food retailers will be situated around a food court with central mall seating and tables with limited free wi-fi for Customers.
Other upgrades will include first class CCTV throughout the building and access control to the new office level.
The project that commenced in January 2019 is expected to be complete by December 2019, with office tenants taking occupation of their premises for fit-out purposes from October 2019.
