The original development completed in 1990 was known as ‘The Atrium Shopping Centre’. There is an 800 bay parkade attached to the Centre. The Centre was renamed Stadium on Main in 2000 and a participative entertainment element was introduced making it not just a shopping centre. The 11,000m² office component is suitable for big box tenants such as call centres and education centres.
A R75 million redevelopment and refurbishment of the SOM retail and new UG A-grade office level started with conceptualising and planning in 2018. The building works commenced in January 2019 and the year-long building project was completed in December 2019.
