CCI partners with NPV Holdings to bring change to the lives of the Cape Town youth

Leading African contact centre, CCI South Africa, recently announced the expansion of their Cape Town presence in the heart of the Claremont CBD.

Leading African contact centre, CCI South Africa, recently announced the expansion of their Cape Town presence. Already considered the largest Business Process Outsourcing brand in South Africa, CCI has expanded their impact-sourcing based presence even further, in the heart of the Claremont CBD.

Introduced by Cardinal Property Group, NPV Holdings has secured a 5-year lease agreement with CCI over 7000sqm in Stadium On Main (SOM) valued at over R68million.  This is CCI’s third and also their largest site launched in under a year. Says peter Andrew, CEO at CCI “We look forward to broadening our impact in the city, bringing sustainable employment opportunities in sought after areas to those who need it most.”

“We are delighted that we could provide CCI with fit for purpose BPO office space in the Heart of Claremont, on a long-term lease.  With other development opportunities within the NPV portfolio in the Claremont precinct, CCI will have further opportunity to expand as their needs arise.” Said Mike Nixon, Director of NPV Holdings.

For many in the BPO sector, CCI’s choice of site in the Southern Suburbs may seem out of place. However, for CCI and CareerBox, the choice is a strategic one designed to make the lives of the employees simpler by bringing jobs closer to them.  They have long been celebrated for the important role they play in not only expanding the contact centre industry in South Africa, but also the life changing impact their impact sourcing model has on the communities around their sites. CCI is already set to provide reliable employment to over 1,000 individuals by the middle of this year, the majority of which will come through CareerBox which will be based at SOM.

“CareerBox is excited to be expanding our impact in Cape Town with the addition of this third site,” says Lizelle Strydom, Managing Director at CareerBox. “Our mission is not only to help the youth of South Africa gain critical skills, but also to help them find genuine and sustainable employment opportunities in a growing industry. Our partnership with CCI and other contact centre providers helps us to achieve this goal.”

The addition of this new CCI site has important implications for the property market in the area which suffered under the COVID-19 pandemic with corporate downsizing and restructuring.  The expansion of the likes of CCI and the BPO industry in South Africa and Africa in general, may be the solution.

“The possibilities for contact centre success in Africa know no boundaries, especially when supported by the well thought out and effective impact sourcing techniques used by CareerBox,” says Peter. “We are confident that through our combined approach we can continue to make a positive impact on both the lives of African people, and the economies in which they operate.”
