This modernist building was designed by Roelof Uytenbogaart in the 1960’s and named after former Old Mutual chairperson George Werdmuller. Approval has been obtained from Heritage for part demolition. The design has about been finalised to suit its surrounds and provide a better commercial offering. The new development will be called The Neo and is the first 60m tall building approved by council in Claremont. This has paved the way for other developers to follow suit. Currently the property is a firm favourite with the film industry, and it has seen its share of Movies and TV series being made there.
